Testimonials
"The European Union supports initiatives that contribute to removing obstacles to young people and that encourage active citizenship and promote democracy”, highlighted Borrell, hereby endorsing youth programmes, such as the Young Mediterranean Voices. "Young people are the main stakeholders in our investment in the world’s future.”
Intercultural dialogue is essential between institutions, youth and civil society. The European Commission supports the work of the Young Mediterranean Voices programme and will ensure the necessary support for the Anna Lindh Foundation's future.
Thanks to Young Mediterranean Voices I became a debate club coordinator. I am spreading the debating culture in my community. I am also collaborating with a local NGO to create projects for youth in relation to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The Programme inspired me to be active and to fight for social change.
Intercultural dialogue is not only possible, but necessary. Our Young Mediterranean Voices team (Belgium/Libya) was unique in proving that, despite apparent differences, we stand together when it comes to tackling our civilisation’s biggest challenges, climate change, the rise of populism and human rights violation worldwide.
